Learn about platform notifications and how to sort them.
On-platform notifications for Badges display above a bell located on the upper right, next to your avatar. On-platform notifications for Announcements will appear above a megaphone located on the right side of your Community or Space landing page, just above the Things row. On-platform Discussion notifications will appear above a speech bubble on Docs, Events, and Badges.
New, unread notifications will be indicated by a pulsating green dot. Click on the bell, megaphone, or speech bubble to view your notifications.
Badge Notifications
You will receive notifications for submitted badges you are able to review and badges you have earned. Click on the bell icon to view a new, unread notification and or click Mark Read to indicate that you have viewed it.
To View and Sort Badge Notifications
Click theView All button at the bottom of the notification drop down to find all of your notifications (New and Existing) You can sort your notifications by Unread/Read and Newest/Oldest.
Announcements Notifications
When you click on the megaphone, all announcements will come up. New, unread Announcements will also show New in bolded green to the left of the announcement title.
Note: Opening the announcements panel will not mark announcements as Read. Announcements will continue to display and show as unread until they are clicked on and the content is displayed.
Discussion Notifications
The green dot indicator will appear above the speech bubble on Docs, Events, and Badges if there are comments that have been posted since the last time you viewed the discussion. You will only receive notifications for discussions in which you are directly mentioned in.
